RECREATIONAL
& AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS
Recreational and After School Enrichment Programs provide positive, alternative activities that promote sports skills, literacy, leadership and community involvement. The Temple Gateway Youth Sports League provides youth with opportunities to learn discipline, teamwork and leadership skills in an atmosphere of structured and supervised competition. Additional activities include literacy and reading programs, tutoring, arts and crafts, music and martial arts workshops as well as recreational field trips.
Pilipino Summer Day Camp
July 14 to July 25, 2008, Monday thru Friday
Daily programming from 9am to 5pm
Drop-Off/Pick-Up from 8–9am and 5–6pm
Open to children and youth ages 5–13
$30/day includes lunch and snacks and daily programming with exposure to rich heritage and
culture of the Philippines and Filipino-Americans including Pilipino language, customs, and
cuisine! Recreational activities will also include games, sports, visual and performing arts.
Pre-registration with $25 registration fee required
Pre-registration deadline is May 15, 2008
Program fees: All-inclusive cost of $150/week; $300/two weeks.
Half-day program available at $75/week; $150/two weeks
Sliding scale applied to qualified families.

Temple Gateway Youth Sports
League provides youth with opportunities to learn athletic skills, discipline, teamwork and leadership skills in an atmosphere of structured and supervised competition.
SIPA Youth Club (SYC) empowers young people by allowing them to choose which activities they would most like to take part in, such as field trips or sports games, and then gives them the ability to create and manage fundraisers so that the activities can take place.
Cultural Arts & Crafts Activities encourage youth to learn more about their multi-ethnic community and their cultural heritage. Classes include martial arts, folk dancing and a reading club.
Homework Lab
provides
youth with a quiet place to do their homework, ask questions and learn more
about the subjects they are studying.
SIPA Technology Center
provides computers for youth and adults for word processing, resume writing, internet research and career development.
